The opening of the black centre stills our consciousness and brings a deep inner peace. In order to experience black essence, we need to become still and peaceful.
In addition to the peacefulness, mysteriousness, stillness and magical side of the black essence (known as the midnight sun), it also has a quality of power. Here the black essence has a power to destroy the unreal and is in service of truth. It is the power of being. This power annihilates our ego-attitudes by revealing truth.
Of course, most of us are afraid of our own power because we fear that we might misuse this power. We long to be powerful beyond measure and instead we succumb to the helplessness and frustrations that arise out of not taking our power.
True black essence has the clarity to cut through all our problems and through this clarity we gain a profound understanding and insight into truth. The black essence creates a guidance that is sharp and clear, like a cutting edge. It shows us our relationship to our true nature.
We will work with meditations and inquiries to gather a new understanding about our essential nature. We will learn to meet our ego with compassion and acceptance.
